The Art of UK Reggae is a ground breaking exhibition of Reggae poster art
Visitors will learn about London’s thriving reggae culture in the 1990s; through the evocative collection of posters and flyers on display featuring British and International reggae icons from the golden age of reggae such as Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Burning Spear, U-Roy, Jah Shaka, Big Youth and Gregory Isaacs, as well as a unique collaboration with Denzel Forrester MBE, one of the UK’s most celebrated Black visual artists.
The exhibition showcases the work of Dub Plate Grafix (DPG), a pioneering graphic design outfit, who honed their creative skills in Bristol’s booming graffiti and music scene in the 1980s.
