Tate Exchange – Off White!

Is creative action possible in a time of hyper economic pressures, increased visibility of structural racism, cuts to arts and education and the cultural exploitation of othered voices?
Drop in to a day of interactions, performances, and workshops exploring networks of exchange, autonomy and collectivity.
Youth practitioners, collectives, activists and organisers explore their thinking, strategising and making with Hustlebucks, Who Needs a Name Collective, sorryyoufeeluncomfortable, Hatch, Photofusion, Raw Material, Skin Deep and others.

12pm – 2pm / 2pm – 4pm
Photofusion art workshop – Artist Dafna Talmor (LINK: http://www.dafnatalmor.co.uk/) has adapted her own practice for the workshop. Dafna and staff from Photofusion will support participants to make their own reconstructed landscape using found slides, collage material, ink and pen. On this informal workshop everyone will construct their own landscapes, project their new landsapce using Kodak Carousels, then photograph it digitally for printing. Every participant will create their own original object, printed piece and a digital reproduction to take home.
12pm – 3pm:
Agency for Agency – Southwark Room: workshop/ dialogue
sorryyoufeeluncomfortable and Skin Deep will be asking questions about navigating the arts/ arts institutions. What are the psychological and physical impacts that navigating institutional spaces, especially those that are arts, cultural or educational spaces.
1pm – 6pm
Social enterprise showcase stools. Businesses include: Hustlebucks, Lenique Louis Jewellery, Play Dot Apparel and many more
