Portals: Bending Spacetime | Artist Talk: Liz Mputu

As part of Portals: Bending Spacetime, artist Liz Mputu hosted an intimate online workshop exploring the Dikenga (Kongo cosmogram), divination, and healing.

Drawing from their work HOW TO PRAY THE DIKENGA / when the Mpungos (gods) are coding—switch, Liz guided participants through the spiritual and philosophical frameworks embedded in the Dikenga, sharing insights on how these practices inform both their creative process and daily life.

This virtual session provided a rare opportunity to engage with Liz’s artistic and spiritual methodologies, offering a space for reflection, learning, and connection across time and tradition.
